Ed Treacy, Vice President, Supply Chain Efficiencies

Ed Treacy

With more than 25 years of senior management experience in logistics and supply chain management, Ed Treacy serves as PMA’s expert in developing supply chain practices to lead the produce and floral industries forward.

Possessing dual citizenship in Canada and the U.S., Treacy has spent most of his career working with major Canadian retail chains, including Loblaw Companies Ltd. and Sobeys Inc., where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Logistics and Engineering, Most recently, Treacy served as senior vice president of operations for New Breed Logistics, in High Point, N.C., where he designed and implemented manufacturing distribution centers to service major U.S. retailers.

Among his responsibilities, Treacy monitors and forecast trends related to supply chain efficiencies, designs and maintains related products, services and educational events for PMA members. He also serves as staff lead and technical consultant to the industry-wide Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI), and leads all data synchronization and alignment initiatives for PMA.

Treacy received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto, and graduated from the Executive Development Program at York University in Toronto.
