PMA: Monitoring Issues Affecting the Industry

One of the services PMA provides is monitoring issues of industry concern - whether those are new developments in regulations or and legislation - and informing its membership. From nutrition to food safety, PMA strives to give its members the information they need when they need it, with insight and analysis.

As part of its Government Relations program, some of the issues PMA actively monitors include:

Another issue PMA has compiled resources for is avian influenza/pandemic flu. While it may seem unusual for a fruit and vegetable trade association to focus on an issue such as this, PMA developed these resources to help its members prepare for the real possibility of business and social disruptions caused by an outbreak avian influenza or pandemic flu.
